In all seriousness, whoever edited that trailer deserves a raise and some sort of award because I genuinely can’t remember the last time I physically jumped out of my seat and screamed “LET’S F****** GO!!!!” at a trailer, which is precisely what I did while watching this. Apologies to my downstairs apartment neighbor if you’re reading this.
“Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” is loaded with stunning animation and ultra-extreme visuals, some of which I am genuinely shocked will be available on Netflix. Blood, guts, and violence are one thing, but there were absolutely characters squirting while grinding on each other. If you don’t know what that means, maybe Google that with Safe Search on … or not, I’m not your mom. Even better is the juxtaposition of all of this visual stimulus set to Beethoven’s Symphony no. 9/Ode to Joy, a song I never imagined would be the perfect fit for a ridiculously provocative anime. Give. It. To. Me. NOW!
